Casimir Pulaski
There once was a man from eastern Europe, who wasn't just a tourist
He came over to America's lands and forests.
And helped us in the American cause, with us he defied the royal houses laws
So for him let us take a moment to pause, and give him a great remberance and applause.
He saved George Washington from a calvary charge, that kept our founding fathers
at large.
The red coats called him a traitor.
He influenced American calvary doctrine a generation later,
He wrote the book on American cavalry, that influenced our Civil War with very strong valency
But all attention on this last one should be centered, this is why he should be remembered
Into America he really did enter, and on the American side he never surrendered.
He died in battle in the month after September. (1779)
When he came to our country he told Benjamin Franklin right in the eyes
That he was willing to fight for independence twice
That he was willing to help no matter the price
and proved it with his final sacrifice
He's the very definition of a hero so brave
That we are still talking about him today.
